Six Yards of Elegance : Designing Audio-Visual Messages

From the restricted possibilities of still and print media, we moved to a world of infinite possibilities with the Video project, which could incorporate movement, sound, stills, text and whatever else to help structure the information in the most effective way.

This project was also the most intensive one as it needed much pre-production planning, co-ordination, organization and mental visualization of details, camera angles, light etc through a story board, as well as a crucial post-production editing stage where mistakes were camouflaged and every thing from music to narration was put into sync with the theme to craft the final product. I am a movie fan, but not a film critic, and often felt rather ignorant when people discussed shots, camera angles etc. In a way, this project has empowered me and I now not only know what people are talking about but know exactly what they mean.
